Pakistan is a country where one of the most peaceful civilizations of the past originated and which, due to its strategic location, has become a wanted territory for the silently competing great powers of today. It is also one of the many reasons why the biggest urban agglomeration in the world Karachi was se up in this area.
The rapid development and efforts of the population to become a modern country can be seen in education and technology, which is particularly evident in the artificially built metropolis of Islamabad. Tradition and history are most visible in the culturally rich and intellectual city of Lahore which is a symbol of the famous Mughal era as well as the Islamic part of Pakistan's history. Our clients can also visit places that are not commonly seeked by the everyday tourist such as the UNESCO-listed Rohtas Fortress or the Chevra Salt Mines that are the second largest in the world as well as a reminder of the British colonial era.
Archaeological sites that remind us of the glorious eras of civilizations around the Indus river, especially Mohenjo Daro, Harrapa or the multicultural Taxila are must-see places on your itinerary. Pakistan's greatest treasure however lies in its nature, particularly in the northern mountain range that hosts several 8 000 meters high mountains under which a very peaceful and hospitable population lives in harsh conditions. The local mountain trail will lead you north to the Skard area which is a starting point to summit the world-famous K2 mountain. In the area between Skardu and Gilgit, the Central Karakoram National Park was declared - Pakistan's largest protected natural area. Gilgit with its adjoining Hunza, Haramos, Naltar and Nagar valleys is inhabited by ethnically and religiously divers communities. Should you wish to meet them personally we recommend you to visit the Gilgit City Market or attend some of the local polo tournaments. Once you arrive you will hear a great mixture of languages such as Urdu, English, Uighur, Wakhi, Burushaski, Posto, Khowa and many more.
Nonetheless the greatest highlights of Pakistan are undoubtedly the magnificent views of local mountains - namely Nanga Parbat, Rakaposhi or Ultar.
