The ambition of Al Fanar is not to be a super-luxury resort, but a mid-range family-run beach hotel that provides quality service. Its biggest attraction is the beautiful beach, swimming pools and all inclusive dining. But the main reason to choose a holiday here is the guaranteed tropical weather all year round. Temperatures are still around thirty degrees celsius. The beaches of Salalah are endlessly long, with palm trees on one side and the Indian Ocean on the other. The same is true in Al Fanar where lovers of endless space and romance will find their paradise.
Al Fanar is part of a new tourist project that grew up by the sea in the suburbs of Salalah - the largest city and administrative center of southern Oman. It has a great location by a closed yacht marina on one side and an open Indian ocean on the other. The typical palm alley, which Salalah symbolizes, evokes a much-loved tropical atmosphere. This is guaranteed throughout the year by tropical weather without precipitation except for June-September. The hotel has been in full operation since early 2016 and includes two outdoor hot tubs, two swimming pools (one is heated), children's pool with an adjacent playground and a club for the youngest and teenagers. There is a tennis court, beach volleyball and football pitch, free bike rental and a chess and table tennis area. The water sports center is very popular as it allows one to snorkel, dive, go fishing or do some dolphin watching. Free Wi-Fi connection is provided in the whole area and in the rooms. There is also a currency exchange office, a shop, a car park, separate saunas, a gym and a spa that leaves no doubt that you are in the region of incense. All-inclusive dining is provided by the main daily restaurant, which also offers a special menu for children or pizza, a beach bar and another pool bar. For gourmets there is a Mediterranean restaurant inspired by Italian, French, Lebanese and Greek cuisine. It uses fruits and other ingredients of the Indian Ocean. All rooms are well-equipped and some offer panoramic ocean views.

The pleasant size of 40 m2 can accommodate two adults and one child under 11.99 years. Rooms can be connected for families and there are also three rooms of this type that are adapted for disabled guests and two of them can also be connected.

All the Al Fanar Deluxe Suites feature traditional dark Oman carved furniture, great ocean views and a beautiful spacious terrace. Within the large area of 90 sqm there is a bedroom, dressing room and separate living room with sofa. The bathroom has a double sink, shower and a bath tub. The apartment can accommodate two adults and two children under 12 years or three adults and one child under 6 years. In case of two children up to 12 years the second child pays extra bed. On request we can provide suites with private whirlpool.

There are two restaurants at the hotel. The main one focuses on serving buffet style daily meals indoors or on a terrace, and the other is a themed serving seafood specialties typical of French, Italian , Lebanese and Greek cuisine. As one of the few in Oman, the hotel comes with an all-inclusive concept. There are two bars, one on the beach and one by the pool.
The all inclusive concept includes breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets at the all-day Al Souk restaurant. As for drink is includes soft drinks, canned juices, water, tea, coffee, beer, selected wines and hard liquor. Alcohol is served from 12.00 to 15.00 and from 18.00 to 23.00 every day except Friday, on Friday from 14.00 to 23.00, in designated areas according to the applicable Omani legislation. Breakfast and lunch are not included on the day of arrival, and lunch and dinner on the day of departure. Half-Board and all inclusive clients can also enjoy the Al Manara main restaurant at the sister hotel Juweira.
Guests with Half-Board or all inclusive can also try the served menu (lunch or dinner) at the beach restaurant or have a Mediterranean dinner at the Aubergine restaurant at Hotel Fanara, ev. to the As-Sammak restaurant at Juweira, where seafood is served in the evening.
