About the package
When the sheikhs decided to make Dubai a major tourist hub they focused on the area of beaches and the construction of magnificent avenues with skyscrapers or garden residential areas. Their original homes seemed to cease to exist. But is it really so? The ancestors of the Dubai Sheikhs inhabited the area at the mouth of the so-called Creek, or the bay. Traditional houses with typical wind towers have not disappeared though. They have been renovated and are still part of the picturesque historic district of Bastaqija. Some of its inhabitants have resisted modern conveniences as they decided not to leave their old houses. They are also the only people besides tourists that you will meet in this part of Dubai, especially during the evening prayers. Apart from the mosque they like to visit local galleries and marketplaces. A few new gardens were also created and the entire waterfront of the bay was modified to create a ideal conditions for walks, cycling, shopping in 350 shops, sitting in one of the 90 restaurants or just on the stairs by the water. Right in the middle of the route, it is possible to look over the fence into the palace garden, from where Sheikh Mohammed rules. Experience this calm oasis in the middle of a vibrant metropolis and choose accommodation in the new Canopy by Hilton Dubai Al Seef.
The hotel offers unconventional modern accommodation with a range of artistic and fresh elements. Stone sculptures accompany you to the reception. The whole entrance area is not just a classic official counter, but a hall in which art, a library, a gallery and a retro bar are inter-connected. Right outside the door you can rent a bicycle and ride for free along the Sif waterfront promenade. The hotel has several restaurants, which also function as photo galleries. Great gym and spa are available to guests through out the day but the best is the rooftop bar with terrace and a long pool with priceless views of the city. On one side you can see the panorama of modern Dubai, on ther side the original Dubai and behind it the gardens of the palace of Muhammad's closest relatives.
Discover Dubai differently, you won't regret it!
