The magical coral island of Vakkaru owes its beauty to a large extent to parrots, whose mouths are a bit like the beak of a parrot. These beautifully colored fish, like the inhabitants of coral reefs, protect their home in an unusual way. Although they are herbivorous creatures that feed on algae on corals, they also have rough teeth that grind dead corals and turn into sand dust after limestone food has passed through their digestive tract. In a year, a single such creature can produce 100 kilos of beautiful fine white sand, which also adorns Vakkar. Not surprisingly, the resort, which opened in the Maldives in 2018 in the popular Baa Atoll, is based on nature and local traditions. At Vakkar, don't look for playful entertainment, but the peace that an umbrella of 1400 coconut palms will hide. It also shades the organic farm that supplies all four restaurants. The palm trees are also named after the Coconut Club, where you can play board games or just sit in the library with tea and coffee after the spa treatment. For a change, the mats gave the name to a children's club, where children from 3 to 12 years of age, for example, learn to cook or can hang out by their own pool. In the Splash department, a local biologist is waiting for those interested in observing manta rays, dolphins and sharks, and if you get enough of the Hanifar Marine Reserve, change direction to Thulhaadhoo Island, the only Maldivian island that produces painted artifacts for the most noble local families. The closest to the reception is the Isoletta restaurant and bar, where Italian cuisine and wines are on the menu at noon and in the evening. The neighboring main restaurant, Amaany, serves local and international cuisine for breakfast and dinner. The Lagoon bar is within easy reach of the two mentioned restaurants. He is an exceptional Asian cuisine that requires a lot of time, so the evening is the best moment. In the area of ​​the water villas, there is the Vakku restaurant, where grilled specialties and seafood are also accompanied by excellent wine.

Half-board, which can be combined with breakfast / dinner, is served in all four restaurants as a 3-course menu without drinks. A children’s menu is available for children, with the exception of the Vakku restaurant. Lunch is served in one of the open restaurants and also in both bars, even in this case the children's menu applies with the exception of Vakku.

Wine and Dine includes all drinks except premiums for adults and children for dinner only.

Ultra all inclusive Indulgence includes: a three-course menu served during dinner at Vakku Grill, Onu Asian or Italian Isoletta, in the case of Amaany it is a buffet, as well as lunch including drinks in any open restaurant, Lagoon bar or Cabana bar by the pool (bars are open from 11.00 to 23.00). During the day, wines, champagne and selected hard alcohol, beer, soft drinks, juices, coffee, tea and water are also offered in the Lagoona and Cabana bars, in all restaurants and also as a complemented assortment in the in-room minibar. Part of this concept is equipment for snorkeling and kayaking, bicycles for adults and children, services of the Coconut Club for all ages and the Parrotfish Children's Club for children under 11.99, tennis and badminton courts, once a week presentations to protect water with marine biologist, morning group yoga according to schedule, water gymnastics, wi-fi connection and personal sound system.
