About the package
The Royal Mansour in Marrakech was born in thanks to the wish of King Muhammad VI of Morocco, who wanted to show the world the best of Moroccan art and hospitality. It took 1,200 master craftsmen over three years to build this splendid palace. The Royal Mansour is drowned in the greenery of the city center at the junction of the traditional medina (the original old town) and modern Marrakesh. The five-hectare complex is not one large hotel building, but a system of 53 three-storey riads. The main focus was put on Moroccan tradition that respected modesty, privacy and inner beauty. The triangle of beauty among the Arabs is greenery, water and a beautiful human face, which have been an integral part of the Arab housing culture. Houses had their high and wide exterior walls without windows into narrow streets, in the shade of which these houses were to be protected from the summer heat of the sun. Such a style does not visually attract aesthetically, but inside a completely different world and literally an architectural festival opens up. This principle is also present in the Royal Mansour. You enter through a giant bronze wrought-iron gate, followed by fountains, chirping birds, the smell of jasmine and orange trees. Each riad inside the Royal Mansour is absolutely unique, each has a beautiful lounge on the ground floor, a cozy bedroom on the first floor and a swimming pool on the terrace overlooking the spectacular Atlas Mountains. The riads are surrounded by a garden that seamlessly connects to the Marrakesh Botanical Garden. In the shade of olive trees, the surface of the main pool with seven gazebos provides guests with the comfort of a Shehrazade on hot days. Another indoor heated pool with stunning glass walls is part of the spa decorated with ubiquitous arabesques. It is an uplifting place to relax, especially in the winter months. It is clear that the traditional hammam includes original Moroccan cosmetics with rose and orange water, argan and clay products, as well as a gym, pedicure, manicure, hairdresser and relaxation lounge with detoxification dishes, which are supervised by the holder of the three Michelin stars Yannick Aléno. The colors and flavors on the plate are not the only experiences. Children from 4 to 10 years of age can learn some local skills at the kids' club and discover the secrets of the medina during a treasure hunt. The rest of the family can explore Marrakesh from a carriage, through a guided walk, on golf, from a balloon or it is possible to head all the way to the mountains or the dunes of the Sahara. The Royal Mansour is an extraordinary life experience making it the sixth best hotel in the world in 2019.
