Although it might seem that a large hotel in the heart of the capital cannot become a beach holiday Mecca, it has surprisingly quickly gained popularity among business travelers and those looking for a pretty garden with swimming pools, a pleasant beach and live evening entertainment. The great advantage of the hotel are comfortable and spacious rooms with balconies. Khalidiya Rayhaan Rotana opened in autumn 2010 and Czech tourists quickly fell in love with it. The hotel has a stunning lobby with restaurants, a large swimming pool with children's section, a hot tub and a beach restaurant, two floodlit tennis courts (rackets for a fee of 25 DHS) and two squash courts. The entrance to the water from the 200 meter long narrower beach with fine sand is gradual and suitable for children. The biggest attraction near the hotel is the tower with the most beautiful observation terrace of the capital (reservation required in advance) and a relaxing promenade with the possibility of renting bicycles and tricycles, etc.
