About the package
Salalah Rotana Resort and several other new hotels in southern Oman represent a new stage in the development of tourism in Oman since 2010. Until then, Salalah was almost a forgotten and hardly accessible paradise at the end of the world. Thanks to new air connections and large investments in tourist infrastructure, however, a new destination has been opened, which has stable summer weather throughout the year and some of the best beaches in the world. By default, Oman does not offer an all inclusive concept and typical mass tourism, but several resorts in Salalah are an exception, including the Rotana Salalah Resort 5 *. This is not a typical all-inclusive resort you may know from Egypt as it maintains relatively higher level of services.
Salalah Rotana Resort is located along a beautiful long beach with palm trees in a quiet location about 20 kilometers from the airport. The relatively large resort with 400 rooms and suites is located in the garden between a set of waterways and lagoons, which are connected by bridges made of local stone. The distance between the different parts of the resort can be bridged by golf carts. The natural light and play of colors welcomes the guest from the entrance atrium along the corridors to the lounges. All spacious rooms and their furniture are decorated with arabesques, textures and colors to reflect the authentic design of the Orient. This is most noticeable on the so-called window masquerades. The rooms allow the family of four to be shared with a sofa. The complex includes a spa center, a kids' club for children between the ages of three and twelve, two tennis courts, a gym and two large swimming pools, one heated and with a children's section. All inclusive or half board can only be taken in the main daily restaurant and in the beach bar (in the case of all inclusive), while the consumption of alcoholic beverages is regulated according to local legislation. In addition to the all-inclusive, guests can enjoy the beach restaurant and the theme restaurant Silk Road with Indian, Thai, Arabic and Far Eastern dishes. The hotel lounge offers small snacks, tea and coffee. The hotel will also gladly prepare a romantic dinner for two on the beach with personal service. But the best is the beach with full service, from which you can often observe dolphins or turtles playing in the sea. The entire resort is covered by Wi-Fi internet connection provided in the public areas free of charge, in rooms for a fee. During the so-called Charif period (usually from June 21 to September 21, when the area is affected by monsoon weather conditions), the beach is closed and swimming is restricted to the pool area due to the strong waves.
